HEPCATS (High Energy Physics, Cosmology and Astrophysics: Theory and Simulations) is a regional academic meeting series aimed at fostering discussions and collaborations among researchers working in fundamental areas of theoretical and observational physics. The focus spans high energy physics, gravity, cosmology, astrophysics, phenomenology, and computational approaches.
The Shivalik HEPCATS meetings bring together faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and students from institutes across the Shivalik and nearby region, including IITs, IISERs, NITs, and central universities. These meetings provide an informal and interactive platform for presenting ongoing research, exchanging ideas, and initiating collaborations. Held approximately twice a year at different institutions in the region, HEPCATS has evolved into a growing academic network that strengthens regional research activity and connects early-career researchers with leading experts in the field.
